For this assignments, I did a design assignment that was worth two and a half stars. For this fundraiser for this park, we are doing a “Haunted Halloween 5K Wicked Woods Fun Run.” At this fun run, runners will get a chance to meet the cast of Corpus Metus which was the radio show I was involved with!
I listened to The Edward Creepy Show on Tuesday and I really liked what I heard! I think what made the show so successful was that each character had a different personality and different characteristics that flowed well together. Some parts of the radio show were challenging to hear but if the volume was up high enough and there were no other sounds in my background, I could still make out the voices. I enjoyed the movies they talked about and how the show was laid out. I also really enjoyed the music choices and the different voices used. Great work!
This week was alright I guess. The radioshow seemed pretty stressful at first but it all worked out in the end. I think it turned out really well too! I’m glad it is over though. This week I focused on the radioshow and figuring out a plan for that. It was tough with all of us having such tight schedules. The comments are tedious but easy enough.
I am actually surprised in how this week went and how we all communicated to figure things out. I usually hate group projects but I think my group worked well together. We began by sorting out the normal things like name and ideas. We each also named some facts about ourselves to get to know each other better. Then we began emailing ideas and working on our Google Doc. We each said the things we liked and didn’t like and it actually wasn’t that hard to come up with a main idea and plan. Next we started writing our scripts and assigning parts. This also wasn’t too tough because everything in our doc was color coded and we created the script to be equal for each member. We have most of it finished, we just need to record our parts and send them to each other and get it all put together at the end. I think it’ll turn out nice.
This week I thought would be better because of the light work but it wasn’t the easiest. Getting things figured out with my group was proabably the hardest part but I think things are moving along. I was not able to do any audio assignments because I had to work on someone else’somputer but I did my best on everything else and got it all done. The commenting on other’s posts was probably the most difficult part for me because it feels so awkward commenting on things for people you don’t even know and will probably never meet face to face. The radio show I think will be interesting in the upcoming week and figuring all the parts out with that. This week, I focused on eamiling back adn forth with my group and then going step by step with the different steps for this week. I found an interesting program on the computer I had to do my work on and it made logos so it helped with the promo project although I am not the best at technology.
I made this promo for our Radio Show. We do not have a name picked out yet but with our idea, it works without a name right now. For our radio show, we are having listeners come on the air and tell personal ghost stories so the phrase, “What Will you Have to Tell?” works with the main theme. I made this promo in a logo maker file I found online.
This week has been going pretty well I think with my group. We have been emailing back and forth and have a Google Doc going. We all seem to have an agreement about what we want the radio show to be about and what we are going to do, I’m not sure if we have a name yet. I think it is going to be alot of fun and it should be a different experience. For the process, we were the ones who I guess got put in a group last minute and we all just started an emailing chain and gave out google emails for the Google Doc. On the Google Doc, we decided to put one fact about ourselves a day to get to know each other as well as adding input and ideas. Then we just built and built on each other’s ideas and came up with something.
